Women's Sport Leadership Academy
In 2013, WSLA was created to change the under-representation and lack of development opportunities for women in sport.
The core component of the WSLA Academy is a week-long residential at the University of Chichester, which has been designed and delivered by Leading Edge Performance since 2022. Over 250 women have participated in the week, occupying middle-to-senior management or Board positions across a range of international, national and regional sport federations, Ministries and National Councils of Sport, universities, and sport for development and physical activity organisations.
Combining the essential elements for self-critical learning and development, the unique learning environment includes high-profile guest speakers, workshops, personal development planning, national and international support groups, as well as physical activities, problematic systems and cultures. WSLA facilitates a personal learning experience, cultivated within a safe, multicultural, diverse, trusting environment, that will impact you in ways you could never anticipate.
